Pastor Steve Anderson is the 15th pastor to serve St. Stephen's. Pastor Anderson was born in Lincoln, NE and attended elementary and junior high school there. In 1981 the Anderson family relocated to northern Minnesota where Pastor attended Indus High School.
Following graduation, Pastor Anderson attended Rainy River Community College in International Falls where he met Joanne Nordine. T he two were married in 1988 and moved to Baudette, MN. Having a BA degree from Bemidji State University, Pastor worked at Solvay Pharmaceuticals in Baudette for 10 years before enrolling at Concordia Seminary (St. Louis) in 1999. Following graduation from Concordia Seminary in 2003, Pastor accepted a call to Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church in Crosslake, MN before accepting the call to serve at St. Stephen's.
Pastor and Joanne have two children: Emily and Carolyn who live in Minnesota. They also have Farley the dog and Spanky the cat to help keep parsonage life interesting. When not busy preaching or teaching the Word of God, Pastor enjoys Nebraska football, hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, geocaching, and keeping the dog and cat in line.
Renae Huberty - Secretary
Renae Huberty is the current secretary at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Renae lives in East Bethel with her husband DuWayne and their three children: Alex, Wyatt, and Kendall. They also have a Golden Retriever named Ginger. When not at work, Renae enjoys attending her church (Eagle Brook – SLP Campus), camping, swimming & water parks, shopping, listening to music, and getting together with good friends.
